Between Sky and Earth
Hanin Qasim and Lulwa Jahtai bring clouds, dreams and horses into a dialogue between sky and earth.

Between the freedom of dreams and the grounding of earth
Between Sky and Earth brought two artistic practices into a space connecting the imagination of the sky with the presence of the earth. This joint exhibition by Hanin Qasim and Lulwa Jahtai, hosted at Art Dose Gallery at Jeddah Yacht Club, featured more than twenty paintings exploring dreams and clouds, alongside the strength and steadiness of horses.
Hanin Qasim — when a dream becomes a painting
Hanin Qasim’s works reflect her inner world, giving dreams and feelings a visual language while leaving viewers room to find a connection of their own. Her participation followed two years of planning and preparation for the exhibition, celebrating the meeting between her work and its audience and the variety of their responses.
Lulwa Jahtai — horses as a lived experience
Lulwa Jahtai draws on her personal relationship with horses and her past experience as a rider. Their presence in her work extends that connection, carrying memories and meaning while inviting reflection on strength, steadiness and movement.
Two practices, an open conversation
Between clouds and horses, the exhibition invites reflection on dreams and reality, the desire to soar and the sense of being rooted. It brings the artists’ worlds together while allowing each to retain its voice, giving visitors their own path between sky and earth.
